Music Box Theatre

Cultural icon Diana Vreeland gets the documentary treatment in Diana Vreeland: The Eye Has To Travel. Find out the story behind the woman who changed the face of fashion, beauty, art, publishing and culture itself forever. The New York Times calls it “ Dizzily enjoyable".

In the mood for some late night thrills? Check out Snowman’s Land, the latest release from Music Box Films. A professional killing job goes wrong in this darkly comic film from director Tomasz Thomson.

Several months ago, the Music Box played LCD Soundsystem’s Shut Up And Play The Hits to sold out crowds. Now, for one night only, we present LCD Soundsystem: The Final Concert. This is Chicago’s only chance to see the celebrated band’s farewell concert at Madison Square Garden, in its entirety, on the big screen. Tickets on sale now.

We also have more screenings of Sleepwalk With Me and How To Survive A Plague, and midnight screenings of Miami Connection (Which Chud.com calls ‘ The next greatest midnight movie').

Looking for more fun Lakeview activities? For all you dog lovers, the 9th Annual Mutt Strut is this Saturday, September 29th. Chicago Canine Rescue presents this dog and family friendly charity event, kicking off with a 1.5 mile walk through Lakeview, and finishing up with a fun filled block party! Click here for more information.
Also on Saturday, Low-Line Market presents their first Dessert Pot-Luck. Bring your favorite fall dessert to share with friends and neighbors. Mix, mingle and enjoy the afternoon at what will be the location of the new Low-Line Market coming in 2013. This event is sponsored by SSA 27 and the Lakeview Chamber of Commerce.

See you at the movies. . .
