LA&M Leather People of Color in Cook County Project collections sought

CHICAGO - As part of our continuous collection development the Leather Archives & Museum has begun an initiative to actively increase representation of people of color. The LGBT Leather Persons of Color in Cook County is looking for historic and cultural materials that will be added to our existing collections and form the basis for a six month temporary exhibition and ongoing online resources.

The Chicago Leather Persons of Color Project will reach out to collect materials from Leather LGBT individuals and organizations in Cook County.  Once acquired, The Project will allow these collections to be processed, preserved and made available to the public.

For further information on donating please to the Leather Archives & Museum visit our webpage at http://www.leatherarchives.org/donatecollections.html. The Leather Archives & Museum thanks the LGBT Fund of the Chicago Community Trust for their generous support of this project.
