Cash Mob at Evil Squirrel on May 19

Another cash mob is on the schedule for Evil Squirrel Comics in Rogers Park for May 19.

A cash mob brings community members together much like a flash mob; however, instead of the normal flash-mob activities, the cash mob storms the doors of a preselected mom-and-pop business that is often a cornerstone of a community and its history. Each mobber spend a previously agreed upon amount, usually $20.

There is also a poll for another cash mob location. Go to http://www.cashmob.com/chicago-illinois-cash-mob-notice#page-social and pick the business you'd like to see get the support. Right now Evil Squirrel is way ahead. The other businesses are used bookstore The Armadillo's Pillow, Christian bookstore The Mustard Seed, florist and art gallery Unam Imports and bookstore Women and Children First. Women and Children First is a longtime resident in Andersonville and the other businesses are in Rogers Park.
