Occupy Chicago
To kick off training for the Chicago Spring, Occupy Chicago invites everyone to
grab their wheels and meet up at Jackson & LaSalle at 7pm this Sunday, March
25, to Occupy the Bike Lane!
"The warm weather hit early, so we're
training for long days of marching and riding during the Chicago Spring," says
Emily Day, an Occupy Chicago participant. "We have a lot to prepare for: A
city-wide day of actions on April 7, a huge labor and immigrant rights march on
May 1, and ten days of actions before and during the NATO summit, May
20-21."
Participants are encouraged to wear Occupy Chicago gear, and
bring their bells, horns, and loud voices for a 12-mile tour of Chicago's
neighborhoods. Skateboards and rollerblades are more than welcome.
