Large Scale Gaming Returns To Milwaukee

MILWUAKEE - Milwaukee has always been well known for its history and devotion to the gaming industry.  Some would argue that Wisconsin is where it all started in a town called Lake Geneva and with a man named Gary.  Daydream Productions, LLC is pleased to announce the Midwinter Gaming Convention January 19-22, 2012.  The convention has grown since its inception and now finds a new home at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Milwaukee.

This year boasts an amazing line up of game offerings to satisfy any desire.  The following are just a few of the events, games and special offerings for this year at the convention:
  • Feature LARPS (live action role play) from various groups and genres including; nearly all genres of the White Wolf gaming series, various steampunk LARPS, call of Cthulhu LARP, Nero and many more.
  • Dozens of table and card games including Magic the Gathering, VTES (vampire the eternal struggle), munchkin and many more.
  • Special guest appearances and performances from Team Starkid, Dead Gentlemen Productions & Zombie Orpheus Entertainment, and the OWBN Hour of Power will have a live show all this with other special film viewings, Q&A sessions and much more.

In addition to all the fun games, performances and demonstrations the vendor room will be back.  As one of the reasons for the convention’s move, this year, the vendor room proves to be bigger and better than ever.  Need chainmail?  You can find it.  Do you need that hard to find game book that is out of print? You just might find it here.

This year the convention will be offering limited child care on Friday and Saturday from 5pm to 10pm for children over the age of 5 so mom and dad can have some quality game time together.

You can also give back to the community by bringing any gently used clothing for a clothing drive to benefit St. Vincent de Paul.

The Midwinter Gaming Convention and staff of Daydream Productions, LLC hope to see you this year for 4 exciting days of laughter, fun and of course gaming adventure.
