Chicago Rope February: Homegrown (Feb 28th)

CHICAGO - Chicago Rope is pleased to announce our February Event.

To help you ride out the last vestiges of winter, we're bringing you two of Chicago's best-known rope event organizers: MasterSoNSo, host of Bound to Learn, which meets monthly at GD2, and Lionfire, host of Tying by Twilight, which meets at GD2 as well as in private locations in Chicago. These events have been fixtures of the Chicago rope scene for several years, and many of our staff at Chicago Rope regularly attend one or both of them.

Decoding Rope Bondage Negotiation w/ Cannon at GD2, Sat., Dec 12

CHICAGO - Whether you’re looking to tie (or be tied) for the first time, or you’re a veteran rope practitioner with hundreds of bondage scenes under your belt, this class is for you. In this lecture and discussion-based workshop, we will explore ways of using and interpreting language to better negotiate for what we’re really looking for in a rope bondage scene, as well as how to better meet our partners’ needs, wants and desires. We will explore ways to help experienced players feel less like service techs and mannequins, and help brand new players get their first taste of rope in a way that honors their consent, and keeps them coming back for more. Neither rope nor a partner is required. Lochai, one of the leading rope bondage educators in North America, described it as, “The best communication/negotiation class I ever attended.”

Single and Mingle @ GD2, Fri., Dec. 11

CHICAGO - Are you looking to meet someone special? Do you hope to find a kinkster who shares your romantic interest or fetish? If so, join us for a members-only version of our popular Single & Mingle @ GD2!

This event will begin at 9:30PM for a meet and greet in Serenity. We’ll follow it up with a few ice breakers so you can get to know other people better and an opportunity for you to share your contact info with anyone you are interested in. The club will be open for play, so if you are interested in scening with someone you just met, have at it!

TNGC Hosts: November Play Party - Saturday Nov. 28

CHICAGO - TNGC hosts our regular play party at Galleria Domain 2 on Saturday, November 28th. We think this is a great time for people to come out and explore the kink scene in Chicago with your peers. It will also be a night that the club is available to all of the members of GD2 so it will be a great time for you to expand out and get to know more about what the scene could offer other than just our munch and educational events.

November Roundtables in Chicago

CHICAGO - "What's in a role?"

Why do some kinksters prefer to identify themselves with a D/s or M/s role and others not? What can they learn from each other? What about change in role identification? What can motivate a change, and how does one's own sense of self, and/or the expectations of others, support or negate that change? Is role definition a relevant aspect in participation in the larger community? Or in current kink thinking / practice?


Come talk about the power dynamic in an open forum, with participants sharing & comparing from both sides of the slash. After the initial discussion, you can join one of the breakout groups (top side, bottom side, or switch) to continue the dialogue in a peer-based group.

GD2 Closed on July 4th

In honor of Independence Day, GD2 will be closed on Saturday, July 4th.   Members can join us to make their own fireworks during our members parties on Friday, July 3rd and Sunday, July 5th. 

The TNGC education and Kinky Drawing Club will return on Saturday, August 8th.
